A nice book with lot of interesting techniques described

This book gives you the basic techniques how too capture images under difficult and special lighting conditions. You will learn special capture techniques to create special, creative and exiting images.
It is mostly a book for a beginner but and advantage to have some very basic prior knowledge since the topics are rather specialized but the book has an intro chapter with basics like knowing your camera, lenses, filters gear.
It includes topics like ;
what gear to use with the different techniques described, time laps techniques both with DSLR and smartphones, time lapse in photoshop, images capturing during night, long exposure, long exposure during day, high speed photography, it does not only look at long exposure but also gives you how to use capturetime to stop/freeze motion, basic flash techniques, flash and ambient light, multiple flash exposure, understanding of artificial lighting.
There is also a separate chapter on Compositional Aesthetics, so if you do not have prior knowledge to this you can get an introduction to it here.
The book does not go very deep and comprehensive into each topic but gives a good overview, quick knowledge and an introduction to the different topics. There is a lot of information condensed into the book.
You will also find an Appendix with basic post production work in photoshop, however it is clear that this is not a book on post production. The book contains a Index in the end.
I think this is book fits best for a person already mastering the very basics techniques in photography (like e.g. What and how to control exposure, f-stops, whitebalance) but has limited knowledge and who wants to learn more specific how to use these special techniques and get to know the possibilities your camera has and have a lot of fun testing these techniques out yourself.
Some of the topics are not explained in very heavy detail and that can at times make it a bit difficult to understand, unless you have some prior knowledge, at least the first time you read the book. You will gain a lot knowledge by reading the book twice or at least go back and read some chapters over again when you have come further in the book and gotten some knowledge into the different topics and that way you will see the techniques description with new eyes and get a better understanding and starting to see all the possibilities there are to be creative..
The text gives you a nice starting point and the book also provides assignments after each chapter and with these self practicing exercises you will learn to master them. The assignments are good and to the point.
There is a good balance of text and illustration images, and he includes capturing data on the images that helps you to understand how he did take them and it helps to support the text. However it could have been nice with some more portfolio type images for inspiration.
The book touches on many different topics and will trigger your creativity by giving you some ideas that you can pursue on your own later. Ideas on for example light painting, capture star trails, using zoom techniques during shooting, images of the moon, people movement during long exposure, light trails etc. But to be successful you need to work the techniques by yourself, easily done by following the assignments in the book.

Do waste your money on this book... unless you just start shooting

Just for beginners... Nothing to learn because there is no teaching... just talk about the subject without no technical points...
Time Lapse, not even 1 application is proposed to do it...
Even the pictures are so so...

214 pages and only 26 about Time Lapse (and 8 are abouth GoPro... Go Pro is "photography" for the lazy...)....
Don't waste your money.... Google and Youtube can teach you better.... Muuuuuch better
