In a straight-talking narrative, Gawain uses the first part to cover the basics, with chapters such as "How to Visualize," "Affirmations," and "Creative Visualization Only Works for the Good." Once she shows readers how visualization actually works, Gawain moves on to loftier discussions, such as "Contacting Your Higher Self," "Meeting Your Guide," "Setting Goals," and "Treasure Maps."

Fear not; this isn't a spiritual-lightweight book for people with a severe case of the "gimmes." Gawain has her priorities in the right place, and she cautions readers that creative visualization will not serve greed or shallow-minded thinking. This book helped me to change my life.

I was stuck in a rut. I had been living like there was no tomorrow until I was 27, which is the year that everything came home to roost and I started to long for something more than what I had. I had no idea how to live differently. In fact, when I met people who had careers and relationships and homes I sort of despised them because I imagined they had been lucky, or that they had been handed an easy life somehow. I had these big dreams when I was a kid, and then I had some bad things happen to me and I gave up.

I don't remember how I found this book. It might have been in a used bookstore. But I am so glad I did. I took it to heart even though I tend not to believe in anything "frou frou". I did the exercises and started to visualize the future I wanted. Then an amazing thing happened...I started taking the steps that needed to happen to get the life I envisioned. It wasn't an overnight process, and I had to work hard. Sometimes it was a painful process. But it was real, and lasting. It worked.

Fast forward seven years. I literally have everything I wanted and visualized. I finished my bachelor's degree and completed a master's degree. I am a scientist, as I always dreamed and I love my job. (Seven years ago, I was a receptionist - nothing wrong with that, it's honest work - but it wasn't my dream.) I met my husband soon after I started visualizing and we've now been married for almost six years, with a beautiful four year old. (Seven years ago I'd never had a long term relationship and had a constant broken heart.) I own a house and a new car and I have great credit. I have a good relationship with my parents. I don't touch alcohol or drugs. I am thin and fit and honestly I look better than I have in ten years. I am deeply content and often very happy. I'm grateful for everything, and I try to help others when I can.

Maybe you won't have the results I did, but I bet you will if you put your mind to it. I bet you have goosebumps right now if you want something more for yourself! You deserve it. Go for it. I'm cheering you on!

The only book on this subject you will ever need!

This book is small but very rich in it's content, not a single page of filler. This is the only book on The law of attraction you will ever need. It's very detailed and contains many easy to use meditations and exercises to help you attain your goals. It tells you about treasure maps and vision boards. It's a book for everyone from beginners to people more deep into their journey. It also tells you how and why creative visualization works in a way you will actually understand. So what are you waiting for? Buy and read this book now, you won't be sorry!!

Perhaps the single best Employee Engagement resource available today

I was skeptical of this book, even though Bob's previous books were well written and worthwhile. I didn't feel like a dummy, and I didn't particularly want to read a 350-page textbook on this topic.

However, I was very pleased to discover this is a must-read handbook on all aspects of increasing employee engagement, in an easy-to-read format with plenty of humor, stories, checklists, and so forth to keep me turning the pages.

Bob Kelleher's 30 years in the trenches, plus the Dummies team's talent for organizing and communicating valuable content, is a winning combination. Bob is thorough and very generous with what he knows. For example, here is just some of the "meat" the book includes:
– engagement survey questions
– communication protocol, planning templates, and best practices for communicating before, during, and between surveys

Use this book to become a successful leader

In this book Bob Kelleher provides a very thoughtful step-by-step approach to create a culture of engagement in your company. However it also provides the framework for sound leadership practices. Follow the lessons outlined in the book and you will all the basic building blocks of sound management well delivered.

The lessons contained in this book make sense. It gives many specific examples of behaviors that managers and managers-to-be should exhibit. Chapter 5 on communication is worth the price of the book alone. I have never heard a complaint from an employee that the company/ management/ HR communicated too much! However I have listen to many employees complaining about he "mushroom syndrome" (kept in the dark and fed waste). Everyone wants to feel informed and included. That is part of our nature. Meet this need and your people will respond and get involved.

Bob's books and programs are always very strong on practical approaches to organizational issues. This book could easily be used in a course on good management practices. I found it helpful for practicing managers and insightful for those who want to become managers. Do what the book outlines and you ill be noticed (in a good way) by your organization.

No longer a 'dummy' when it comes to employee engagement

This book is a great way to understand the complexities of engaging people in the workplace! First, it is an easy read - the language is conversational with real personality built in. I felt like Bob was 'talking' to me. The information is great - well researched and explained. The most value came with all the tools and resources sprinkled throughout the book. This isn't just a book that tells you what to do, it also shows you how to do it with forms and diagrams that are easy to reproduce. Of course, the Dummies format allows me to find valuable information quickly and when I need it. I would recommend this book to anyone who manages people or runs a business.

Wow, let me just start off by saying - I am once again honored to have received a copy for review.
As most of you may have noticed my reviews has been someone spread out a lot more than my usual 2 reviews a week, if not more. I had found myself in a funk lately and have been reading a lot slower than usual...Than my good friend and Author of Incendio, Stephanie Constante sent me a copy for review, of course I took the review and began to read it...I can honestly say that Incendio has taken me out of my funk!

This book had me flying through the pages to get to the end but once I was at the end I just couldn't believe it! I was sad that the book ended, though it was mainly my fault because I just couldn't put the book down. We find Leito has changed a lot from the first book and mainly focuses on her as she struggles to learn about her new "life" and understand her new abilities, as well as save Aidan. You can tell that Leito's character in this book really shows just how strong she is and whether this sounds too feminist or not, I honestly love how the girl is not a damsel in distress that needs to be saved though she does get help from her friends, I never once thought of her as weak or anything but as a strong-willed woman that is willing to do anything to save the one she loves.

If you haven't read Baptism of Fire than you need to be sure to get your hands on it and read that first before continuing onto Incendio.

I honestly love the way that Stephanie Constante writes, she dives into a different reality, giving us hot studs to haunt our thoughts, woman willing to fight for the ones they love and of course develops a story plot of adventure, suspense and romance perfectly blended all into one.

You will not be disappointed with her books and I look forward to see what she has in store for us in the future!

Amazing page turner

Stephanie Constante has done it again! Incendio is the second in the Draconi series.
This is a love with war type of story. and it truly highlights the meaning that love can conquer all. Where Baptism of Fire left off Leito was trying to become a dragon to be able to save the one she loves, Aiden. While Aiden is absent for part of the book he is being held and tortured. Leito is learning how to do some amazing things all while trying to be able to bring out her inner dragon and put it back. she struggles but with the help from her friends she manages fairly well. Leito goes from living as a human with dragon abilities to living as a dragon full time in order to save Aiden. Eventually Leito can change flawlessly as well as fly. This book Leito also makes an unexpected trip back to her village which kept me on the edge of my seat turning pages as fast as I could! I recommend this series to everyone it is extremely well written and has love and action who could ask for more ;)
